Positioning repeatability - Single Actuator
What is the repeatability of the output position of an individual actuator?
Re: Positioning repeatability - Single Actuator
The repeatability of a single module is effected by the module’s load, speed, gains, etc. Usually you can repeatably position to around 0.05 degrees.
The actuator’s inherent backlash can be a factor when the output axis is unloaded, or when loads change direction. However, backlash has very little effect when the actuator is preloaded in one direction, for example, when it is holding up a load against gravity.
