innerEffortCmd reading

Post by ased » Mon Aug 16, 2021 5:15 am

Hi

I was looking at the hebi APIs table here : https://docs.hebi.us/hardware.html
and I saw that we could have a reading of innerEffortCmd, however when I looked at the official APIs for c++ the innerEffortCmd was nowhere to be found.
Can you please advise me on how to do that?

Best,
Asma

Thanks for pointing this out. Currently, this is only viewable via the MATLAB API; however, we will update the C API with this feedback this week, and should have C++ API support next week.

Sorry for the issue!

Matt

Hi HEBI,
Do you have any updates regarding the innerEffortCmd() with C++?

Sorry for the delay -- we have the API in internal testing, and so this should be out tomorrow.

Sorry for the additional delay; I wanted to give a slight status update here. We're hitting the last steps of the release process, so the full release should be out shortly, but in the meantime we have a nightly build available:

https://hebifiles.z13.web.core.windows. ... 635.tar.gz

Hope this helps!

FYI, v3.4.0 of the C++ is released.

Thanks again for your patience -- unfortunately, this hit at the same time as some infrastructure upgrades, so the release went through more bumps than usual. Future updates should be more smooth!

Additionally in the update there are updates to support Mac M1 devices, various bugfixes, a ROS 2 compatibility issue, and more.

Best,
Matt
